AviNet® Wireless LAN

AviNet Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) is a versatile solution that enables you to provide highly reliable LAN access to mobile users. Not only does it extend the reach of your wired local area network with private, seamless, and secure connectivity for your employees, it also lets you share the centralized wireless LAN infrastructure to provide a portal for public access as well.

AviNet WLAN ImageAviNet WLAN private access is scalable, secure, and reliable with built-in redundancy. To ensure the optimum performance of your wireless applications, cost-effective Quality of Service options with tiered connectivity rates and dynamic bandwidth allocation are available.

With public access, you can develop portals as a value-added customer service or as an additional revenue stream. Roaming interconnectivity for multiple Wireless Internet Service Providers (WISPs) is supported.

AviNet WLAN uses mesh technology and wireless backhaul capabilities to make it even more cost effective and reliable than comparable WLANs on completely wired backbones.

Where applicable, AviNet WLAN can be engineered to use the 4.9 GHz band for services in support of public safety.

With AviNet WLAN, sharing private and public access on the same infrastructure makes sense. It reduces deployment expenses, improves the distribution of the limited frequency spectrum, and optimizes bandwidth. The centralized architecture used by ARINC adjusts to a changing environment automatically—it self-monitors for noise, interference, and traffic load.  It also supports internal positioning services, seamless mobility, self-healing coverage, load balancing, and rogue detection.
