CertiPath—The Next Step in Electronic Trust

ARINC has joined forces with Exostar and SITA to form CertiPath LLC, enabling secure trusted identity assurance between organizations, their partners, and customers. CertiPath is the first commercially managed Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)-based bridge.  Originally designed for the international aerospace and defense (A&D) community, the CertiPath PKI Bridge enables the transfer of authenticated data globally between participating companies and a number of domestic and foreign government agencies.

In 2006, CertiPath LLC was officially cross-certified with the U.S. Federal PKI Bridge providing CertiPath members with trusted and secure access to a variety of federal agencies. CertiPath drives down the cost of using PKI globally, as well as removing the need to establish trust relationships with every new partner. Creating a new standard in secure e-business transactions, the CertiPath Bridge ensures that all participating members use the same certified policies to send, receive, store, and trust electronic documentation. And best of all, CertiPath Certificates are now available for purchase through ARINC’s CertiPath Certificate Service.
