Reduced Vertical Separation Minimum (RVSM) Services

RVSM airspace, newly implemented in North America and already in place in Europe and other regions around the world, saves fuel and reduces flight-level congestion by providing six new flight levels between 29,000 and 41,000 feet.

Only ARINC provides all the services you need to become RVSM compliant. It’s RVSM compliance made easy. We’ll assess your aircraft’s needs, provide any needed modifications, perform your height-monitoring flight, and complete an approval manual for submission to the FAA. Plus, an ARINC RVSM coordinator will guide you through the process, handling a million little details that might otherwise fall through the cracks.

RVSM Kits and Installations

ARINC provides RVSM modification kits to certified repair stations. We also provide RVSM installations at our Scottsdale, Arizona, facility and our FAA- and JAA-certified repair station in Colorado Springs, Colorado. RVSM kits and installations are available for the following aircraft:

In addition to RVSM modifications, our facilities also provide a wide range of systems integration, maintenance, and repair services.

Height Monitoring

ARINC provides height-monitoring services for operators to satisfy their monitoring requirements for RVSM approval. ARINC has been involved in RVSM activities since 1982 and has monitored nearly 4,000 aircraft worldwide in support of RVSM implementation in the North Atlantic, European, Middle Eastern, and Pacific regions. Our expertise and proximity to operators allow us to be available on short notice, minimizing the time and expenses involved in complying with this RVSM requirement.

ARINC offers height-monitoring services with staff based in four North American cities:

• Annapolis, Maryland
• Miami, Florida
• Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
• San Diego, California

Monitoring can also be performed throughout many locations across Europe, including London, England, and St. Petersburg, Russia.

Or, if these locations are not convenient, our mobile staff will come to a location in North America or Europe that is more convenient for you. This means responsive monitoring services for our customers. In most cases, we can provide same-day service.

FAA Applications for Approval

As a further service to flight departments and private operators, ARINC will prepare the application required by the FAA for RVSM certification.

ARINC will prepare all the documentation needed by the FAA inspector to:

• Demonstrate the airworthiness of the aircraft
• Determine flight crew members are properly trained to operate the aircraft in RVSM airspace
• Verify maintenance crews are trained and prepared to maintain the new equipment

The result is a 3-ring binder, containing those details, along with a copy of the service bulletin or STC, MEL, excerpts from flight manuals, maintenance manuals, and training records.
