Patriot Missile Battery

To mimic both war and peacetime Patriot Missile battery postures, a collection of five batteries was simulated by Raptor using event elements tied to the same random number stream.

The Patriot is a long-range, high-altitude, all-weather system designed to defeat aircraft, tactical ballistic missile, and cruise missile threats. Deployed during Operation Desert Storm, Patriot can simultaneously engage multiple targets under the most severe electronic countermeasure conditions.

Key Patriot features include multifunction phased array radar, track-via-missile guidance, and automated operation. In addition to the phased array radar, a Patriot fire unit can be deployed with an engagement control station, an electronic power plant vehicle, an antenna mast group for communications, and up to sixteen remote launching stations. Each launcher contains four ready-to-fire Patriots.
