Systems Engineering, Integration, and Installation

ARINC offers a full spectrum of systems engineering, integration, and installation services in the areas of space and atmospheric weather, aircraft, communications, information, and navigation systems—for both commercial and government applications. From turnkey satellite communications to lightning-warning systems, ARINC is experienced in the design, fabrication, and installation of these complicated systems.

We specialize in customizing commercial, off-the-shelf (COTS) hardware and software to meet your particular requirements. We can also provide turnkey, cradle-to-grave services for your project: as system integrator, we perform everything from requirements analysis, systems/architecture design, software and hardware design, and systems integration, to testing, fielding (installation), operator and maintenance training, and follow-on maintenance.

ARINC has a proven track record upgrading many types of existing commercial and military weather, communications, and information systems to incorporate new technology and requirements, or extend life expectancy. These projects typically include replacement and/or re-engineering of hardware and software—from design and fabrication, to integration, test, and installation. Using reverse engineering techniques, we can recreate just about any type of obsolete part or component. Typically, the new hardware will have the same form factor, in order to fit existing racks, enclosures, and cable connections.

We've integrated Global Positioning System (GPS) navigation and tracking hardware and software within all types of mobile platforms, and have integrated new hardware into many types of aircraft and military and commercial vehicles, including integration with the back-end and communications infrastructures.

Did You Know

ARINC has designed and installed ARINC's ForeWarn™ lightning-warning system for many of the country's major airports, including Reagan, Dulles, and LaGuardia. To work properly, the system requires the precise integration of several interconnecting communications systems, including wireless modems, LANs, and fiber optics.
