Troubleshooting electrical circuits, especially aircraft systems, can be time consuming. But with i2 WIRES, the countless hours previously spent searching through technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings becomes just minutes.
i2 WIRES can run over the Internet, your organization’s intranet, as a stand-alone, or a combination of all three—and there’s no complicated software to learn. The minimum hardware required is a standard laptop computer. Your wiring diagram data can be placed on a network server, CD-ROM, or DVD.
i2 WIRES acts on intelligent relationships created in a database tailored to meet your unique requirements. You can search the database for criteria such as equipment or aircraft identification numbers, systems and modifications identifiers, wire numbers, part numbers, and component source codes.
A displayed diagram is fully interactive and “intelligent.” Placing your mouse pointer over a wire highlights that wire from endpoint to endpoint and displays a pop-up box that shows wire number, power or signal type, and other data as desired. Embedded links will take you to an associated wiring diagram. You can trace wiring connectivity from point A to point B throughout the entire equipment or aircraft, linking multiple wiring diagrams and systems together. Components are also interactive. Selecting a component can call up related part ordering information and can be linked to your illustrated parts catalog.
Using i2 WIRES, proper operation of systems can easily be demonstrated to technicians in training, and refresher training may be accomplished in real-time and in the technician’s normal work environment.
