AirVUE™—Information Display System for Airports

AirVUE is a powerful multimedia information manager with XML, video, and Flash™ capability and wireless Internet connectivity. Web architecture allows passengers to view real-time flight information from any location using their PDAs, cell phones, or any Internet connection. And they can receive automatic flight updates wherever they are—at the terminal, at home, or in between.

AirVUE offers the most affordable upgrade path to dynamic and attractive airport displays, with standard off-the-shelf hardware and no workstations to purchase. AirVUE allows the airport to take a leading role in customer satisfaction—by keeping all airline customers better informed.

With AirVUE, routine changes in gates, arrivals, departures, and other standard airline information is automatically displayed and distributed both on-site and off. Users can rotate multiple screens with different visual appeal and formats—from routine updates to emergency paging. The system offers a simple “playlist” tool for screen management.

AirVUE delivers a simple, menu-driven approach to creating displays, with drag-and-drop components such as images, text boxes, and video clips. A library of attractive standard layouts is included. The system displays color graphics, airline logos, photographs, and other web-based content, such as animations.

The capability to display videos and advertising materials gives the airport a new potential source of revenue, and visual paging helps airports meet the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

AirVUE includes multiple levels of password-protected security for use by administrators, managers, airline personnel, and authorized vendors. It offers fast reporting capability with a web browser, and includes both alarm and logging functions.
