FSEMC to be Held Sept. 30 – Oct. 3 in Lisbon, Portugal Event Promotes Aviation Safety by Enhancing Essential Training for Pilots and Cabin Attendants
August 14, 2013
Annapolis, MD—ARINC Incorporated today announced that the 2013 Flight Simulator Engineering and Maintenance Conference (FSEMC) will take place September 30 – October 3, 2013 at the Tróia Blue Green Hotel in Lisbon, Portugal.
The FSEMC is an air transport industry event organized by ARINC. It was created to enhance the safety and operational efficiency of aviation worldwide through the dissemination of industry information and the development of consensus-based standards.
"The FSEMC conference helps improve the safety of the entire aviation industry by providing training for pilots and cabin attendants," said Sam Buckwalter, FSEMC Executive Secretary. "Simulator training is far safer than aircraft training as it allows unexpected or emergency situations to be practiced and learned without risk to personnel or aircraft. We encourage anyone associated with the aviation or simulation industry to be present at the event."
The FSEMC conference is attended by more than 300 flight simulator experts from around the world. The annual conference identifies technical solutions to engineering and maintenance issues and, as a result, saves the airline industry more than $19 million annually.
