ARINC Technical Services Set to Provide Cost-Competitive Technical Support for Customers WorldwideFebruary 18, 2009Annapolis, Maryland—ARINC Incorporated today announced the formation of a new business designed to provide skilled field personnel, team staffing, and other technical support for customers worldwide. The new company, ARINC Technical Services, LLC, will offer a range of electrical and mechanical services at competitive market rates. ATS is a subsidiary of ARINC Engineering Services, LLC, the ARINC defense contracting arm, and it is based near ARINC’s primary military aircraft service center at Oklahoma City, OK. “ARINC Technical Services will be a cost-competitive resource for quality technical services and skilled manpower, trained specifically for aircraft modification work,” stated Harry Campbell, Senior Director. “By drawing on ATS, ARINC will be able to bid more competitively on new proposals and enter new markets with extra pricing flexibility.” ARINC Technical Services provides field services for aircraft modification kit installation and maintenance requirements. It also provides manpower services to fill customer requirements for aircraft mechanics, avionics technicians, sheet metal mechanics, assemblers, installation technicians, maintenance personnel, fabrication technicians, and other technical support personnel. This type of work is typically performed by non-degreed personnel, under relatively short-term contract requirements. With the establishment of ATS, ARINC is better positioned to perform work for the U.S. and foreign governments, as well as commercial aircraft customers. ATS can also provide technical staff and services for the modification of ground vehicles and sea-going vessels. ATS personnel will be deployed worldwide as needed to meet customer requirements. ARINC Technical Services is managed separately from other ARINC companies and is currently headquartered near Oklahoma City’s Will Rogers World Airport where ARINC’s major Aircraft Modification and Operations Center is located. Plans call for ATS to relocate to separate offices in Del City, OK, early this year.
