ARINC's NGWC Global Asset Management System Offers Real-time Tracking, Monitoring, Security of Assets in Transit

June 23, 2008

Annapolis, Maryland—ARINC Incorporated will introduce a new generation of tools for secure supply chain asset management at this year’s TranSec World Expo in Amsterdam. The company’s Next Generation Wireless Communications (NGWC) solutions are optimized for international supply chain management, and for a range of commercial enterprises, transportation companies, or defense logistics.

As a trusted global wireless communications integrator—with nearly 8 decades of mission-critical communications experience for the airlines—ARINC now offers the Next Generation Wireless Communications solution to bring organizations’ supply chain management infrastructure to a new level of efficiency and capability.

“ARINC’s NGWC solution lowers implementation and maintenance costs, decreases deployment times, and fosters independence from fixed infrastructure,” states ARINC Program Director, Jim Potter. “By utilizing a Device Management Center (DMC) to seamlessly integrate multiple wireless technologies into one global mesh network ARINC can help maximize the efficiency and reliability of supply chain transport and shipping operations.”

Mr. Potter will provide in-depth information on the ARINC NGWC system June 25th and 26th at the TranSec World Expo 2008, in Amsterdam.

ARINC is uniquely positioned as a global wireless integrator, and offers a comprehensive suite of tracking options and networking options to protect assets in transit. ARINC’s in-place global wireless infrastructure is flexible and economical, giving logistics customers the advantage of NGWC technology without high set-up costs.

“The NGWC system is an end-to-end secure supply chain management service that can be fully tailored for all types of logistics operations anywhere in the world,” adds Mr. Potter. “With real-time remote global tracking, tracing, monitoring, and security, it assures users of the ability to keep track of valuable assets enroute—no matter how far or where in the world they are shipped.”

Now its 6th year, TranSec World Expo has become an established forum for transport security professionals to meet with dedicated suppliers of security solutions. TranSec World Expo regularly brings together some 1500 representatives of end users, manufacturers and integrators from aviation, maritime, rail and supply chain security sectors, as well as managers and directors of transport security from dozens of countries.

ARINC Incorporated, a portfolio company of The Carlyle Group, provides communications, engineering and integration solutions for commercial, defense and government customers worldwide. Headquartered in Annapolis, Maryland with regional headquarters in London and Singapore, ARINC is ISO 9001:2000 certified.
