ARINC Wins a Major IT Systems Contract for Singapore Changi Airport

Singapore—ARINC Incorporated today announced it has won a significant contract to provide all-new passenger handling systems for Singapore Changi Airport, one of the world’s most traveled international air hubs.

ARINC will install its industry-leading i MUSETM common-use check-in technology and BaglinkTM baggage source message delivery system at Changi Airport. The massive IT project covers all three main terminals of the airport, including the new Terminal 3 which is scheduled to open early next year. ARINC will install and migrate its technology progressively at Terminals 1, 2, and 3 and is expected to complete the installation by March 2008.

"The opening of Terminal 3 next year will strengthen Singapore’s established position as an air hub,” said Mr. Foo Sek Min, Director (Airport Management), CAAS. “We believe ARINC’s common-use platform for check-in and boarding processing systems at Changi across Terminals 1, 2, and 3 will provide flexibility for airlines to operate from any of the three terminals.”
