ARINC Video Breakthrough Brings Central Control and Management to Multiple PlatformsSeptember 19 , 2007Annapolis, MarylandCompanies using one or several different types of video systems for surveillance and security can now manage all their systems and configure wall displays efficiently from a single integrated control center. ARINC Incorporated this week introduced the AIM® Integrated Video Management System (IVMS), a powerful digital IP video management tool that brings enhanced display and analysis capabilities to new or legacy video systems. The IVMS adds to the overall command and control capabilities for mission-critical facilities by displaying event driven video unique to each facility’s requirements. ARINC will demonstrate the new IVMS system September 24-27 in Booth #2887 at the 2007 Seminar and Exhibition of the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS) at Las Vegas, NV. “The IVMS is a true breakthrough for enhanced situational awareness,” stated Frank Koren, ARINC Business Development Manager. “Many enterprises have a need for unique video configurations. Now they can keep their existing video platforms while enhancing their value with multiple-stream wall displays, automated pre-event reviews, and tools for simplified analysis, storage, and forwarding. Legacy video infrastructures are no longer a roadblock to robust modern video capabilities.” ARINC’s network-based IVMS solution accepts video from popular Cisco/BroadWare, Aralia, and Nice Systems, with additional compatibility planned this year. The IVMS can handle any number of individual video streams and generates real-time, sequenced tour, automated event response, or manual display modes. Users can set up displays as split-screen, frame-in-frame, or sequenced for maximum analysis value. The ability to view output from multiple systems and analyze live or stored video from any designated camera enables greatly enhanced security and surveillance capability with improved situational awareness. ARINC’s video viewer technology simplifies the task by integrating disparate video platforms under a single, easy-to-use Graphical User Interface (GUI). Operators can easily reconfigure displays on the fly in response to unfolding events. The same interface is used to display control functions and program the system.
