ARINC Managed Services Opens New HeadquartersOctober 27, 2006
Starting with only one contract, ARINC Managed Services (AMS) now manages over 30 projects including passenger check-in and security systems at over 20 airports in North America (such as BWI), radio systems for the TSA at all 442 airports across the U.S., and has become the largest IT services provider for airports in Canada. “The critical components of our success have been our responsiveness and experience in providing support for mission critical systems and our extremely passionate and industry-savvy employees,” said Jim L. Martin, Senior Director, AMS. Established as a division in 2001 and launched as a subsidiary in 2004, AMS has been able to successfully leverage the years of experience and the technical expertise of its parent company, ARINC, Incorporated, a leading provider of transportation communications and systems engineering solutions. “We have seen an immensely positive response to the AMS IT service model,” stated Martin. “The tremendous demand for our offering is based on meeting real-world needs: airports and other organizations within the transportation industry are choosing AMS to provide them with support services that enable a movement towards simplifying travel, which now includes a vast array of IT systems such as security, passenger processing, public signage and smart parking systems. Martin went on to say, “When we think about our customers, we think about people who have little tolerance for error – who operate successfully in a constantly hectic tempo – who have invested heavily in modern technologies to make their transportation solution unique and efficient while maintaining a safe and secure environment. Our ability to succeed is demonstrated by our existing customers and their satisfaction with our services.” The company’s new headquarters building is on Mitchells Chance Road in Edgewater Maryland. Built by Waverly Construction for Annapolis Developers with AMS as the prime tenant, it is a 48,000 square foot 4-story facility which offers plenty of room for growth. “Looking to the future, we are excited about extending our capabilities by focusing new service offerings to the airports industry throughout the world,” noted Martin. “And we continue to develop strategic opportunities in growing business segments such as government and surface transportation.” All ARINC Managed Services telephone numbers and e-mail addresses remain the same at the new headquarters (410-956-3050, ams@arinc.com). However, the mailing address is now ARINC Managed Services, 137 Mitchells Chance Road, Edgewater, MD 21037. ARINC Managed Services (AMS) is the global IT services subsidiary of ARINC Incorporated. As a leading provider of IT operations, maintenance, and staffing services for the transportation industry, AMS offers customers a single source for end-to-end IT managed services. AMS provides the highly skilled personnel, engineering know-how, and project management expertise to handle the most complex IT projects, with 24x7 support and unparalleled service level agreements.
