ARINC DirectSM at Scottsdale Now Offering Factory Service for Piaggio Avanti AircraftAugust 29, 2006Annapolis, Maryland—ARINC DirectSM today announced that its FAA Part 145 Certified Repair Station at Scottsdale, Arizona, has been named a Factory Authorized Service Center for the world’s fastest turboprop business aircraft—the Piaggio P-180 Avanti and Avanti II. ARINC Direct Scottsdale becomes only the second Part 145 repair center in the U.S. to earn the Piaggio factory service authorization. The unique Avanti II is produced by Piaggio Aero Industries of Genova, Italy, parent company of Piaggio America, West Palm Beach, Florida. The Avanti II is equipped with Pratt & Whitney PT6A-66 turboprop engines and the latest Proline™ 21 avionics.
